Major incident at petrol station. 7/10/2022.

Around 3:20pm an explosion occurred inside the building. Its is believed to be from the 1st floor flat above the shop. There were multiple people inside the busy local shop at the time. There are road diversions in place around the town to allow emergency vehicles and helicopters to access the site. The injured are being taken to Letterkenny General Hospital. The local school Scoil Mhuire is open to anyone who needs to go somewhere. Multiple people still unaccounted for.

Creeslough is situated at the foot of Muckish Mountain, near Sheep Haven Bay in north west of Co. Donegal along the Wild Atlantic Way. The meaning of the town name in Irish is “Belt of Lakes”. It is home to the unique Wild Atlantic Camping and Glamping site, Homeland Aka (The Creamery) and has a busy and thriving Credit Union and Post Office.
